| About Captain Rich Russell |
I was a fifteen year licensed captain and a ten year veteran Marco Island fishing captain when I was approached by Captain James Kirk in 2000 to co-captain the Enterprise. Jim was here on Marco for four to six months a year, and we split the charters or worked the boat together. The rest of the year I ran the boat exclusively. In the years that we ran Enterprise I recall only fun and friendship and Jim never once second-guessed my "go-no go" decisions on passenger safety and comfort due to weather conditions. This is very rare in the fishing charter "owner vs. hired captain" world, where daily cash is often the trump card. In 2006 Jims wife decided that he didn't want to be a charter captain anymore and the reins were turned over to me. I continue to work hard to keep Enterprise a top boat in the quality Marco River Marina offshore fleet. This includes constant refit and renovation of the boat-anything that will enhance your comfort and enjoyment of the Marco Island fishing experience.Give captain Rich a call! He is a favored captain on the island and The Enterprise books up quickly! |
