Sharks are quite common in the waters offshore during the summer months. They range in size from the small bonnethead at about two feet to huge sawfish, bulls, lemons, hammerheads and a host of other species. It is typical in the summertime when the water is warmer to catch blacktips and sharpnose while bottom fishing for grouper or other species.
